Located just a few hours north of El Paso, the Lincoln National forest offers a retreat from the heat of the desert below. Above, the road that leads to Ruidoso, New Mexico with Sierra Blanca mountain in the distance.
El Paso's newly renovated San Jacinto Plaza is a popular downtown attraction. It is the subject of many photos on this site. Above you can see the plaza on a clear summer day. This photo was captured on a PhaseOne medium format digital back mounted on a Cambo Wide DS technical camera.
Southern New Mexico is home to many pecan farms. Several two lane rural highways cut through these farms making enjoyable, tree covered drives possible during the spring and summer months. The photo above shows a pecan farm during irrigation season.
The Union Depot building in Downtown El Paso is one of my favorite buildings to shoot throughout the year. It provides many opportunities to capture a variety of different angles.
